Cigarettes After Sex: The Band That's Smokin' Hot
Ever found yourself humming a tune that's equal parts sultry and soothing, like a smoky jazz melody played on repeat in your mind? Chances are, you've stumbled upon the enchanting world of Cigarettes After Sex, the band that's been setting hearts aflutter since their inception in 2008.
From Brooklyn to the World
Hailing from the vibrant streets of Brooklyn, New York, this indie rock band has a story as captivating as their music. Fronted by the ethereal Greg Gonzalez, who's known for his dreamy vocals and introspective lyrics, the band's origins are as organic as they come. Gonzalez started the band as a solo project, writing and recording songs in his apartment, before expanding into a full-fledged group.
Fun fact: The band's name isn't just a nod to their love for a good smoke post-coitus. It's also a reference to the Leonard Cohen song of the same name. Talk about a literary and musical mashup!
