Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda: A Brief Reintroduction

For the uninitiated, 'Sex and the City' was a cultural phenomenon that aired from 1998 to 2004. It followed the lives of four best friends - Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), the writer and narrator; Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), the public relations powerhouse; Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), the socialite; and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), the lawyer - as they navigated love, friendship, and life in New York City.

The show was a pop culture juggernaut, spawning two feature films, countless fashion trends, and even a prequel series, 'And Just Like That...'

Now, About Those Seasons...

So, how many seasons did this iconic series have? Six, you ask? Close, but not quite. 'Sex and the City' ran for a total of six seasons, with each season comprising 18 to 20 episodes. That's a whopping 94 episodes of pure, unadulterated New York City glamour!

But wait, you might be thinking, "I've heard there's a seventh season?" Alas, dear reader, that's just a myth. The seventh season rumors stem from a hoax that circulated online, claiming that a seventh season was in production. Unfortunately, it was all just a big, fat, fake-tanned lie.

Fun Facts and Fashion Moments

Now that we've cleared that up, let's indulge in some fun facts and fashion moments from the series:

• Carrie's closet was so iconic that it was featured in a Vogue article and even had its own exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
• Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw character was originally written for a black woman, but the role was recast when Parker auditioned and won over the creators.
• The show's theme song, "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John, was a perfect anthem for the empowered, independent women at the show's core.
